The date an account first became delinquent and never recovered.
Definition
Date of First Delinquency (DOFD) is the date when an account first became delinquent and was never again brought current. This date is critical for determining when negative information will age off a credit report (typically 7 years from DOFD). It must remain unchanged once set.
