J1 Segment: Definition
A segment for reporting the first associated consumer.
Definition
The J1 Segment is used to report information about the first associated consumer on an account (joint holder, co-signer, authorized user, etc.). It contains name, address, SSN, and other identification fields for the associated consumer. A J1 Segment is optional and follows the Base Segment.
Usage Notes
- Optional - only used when associated consumer exists
- Follows Base Segment
- One J1 Segment per account maximum
