A unique identifier assigned to data furnishers by credit bureaus.
Definition
A Subscriber Code (also called Subscriber ID or Member ID) is a unique identifier assigned by each credit bureau to data furnishers. This code identifies the source of reported data and must be included in Metro 2 file headers. Each bureau issues its own subscriber code.
Usage Notes
- Different code from each credit bureau
- Required in Header Record
- Must match bureau's records exactly
