Account is in collection status - serious delinquency
Overview
- Used by collection agencies and original creditors for accounts in collection
- Indicates account has been placed for collection
- Severely negative status on credit reports
- Account may be with internal collections or third-party agency
Common Use Cases
- 1Account transferred to collection department
- 2Third-party collection agency is pursuing payment
- 3Original creditor actively collecting charged-off debt
Reporting Guidelines
- Report current balance including any collection fees if permitted
- Maintain original Date of First Delinquency
- Update to 62 when paid in full
- Third-party collectors may only use 62, 93, DA, or DF
